AI Instagram carousel generator

An Instagram carousel generator that starts from your app's store listing.

Paste your App Store or Google Play link. SlideBase reads the listing, writes the hook, lays out 6–8 slides in 4:5 or 1:1 and publishes or schedules the carousel to your Instagram Business account. Built for app developers, not LinkedIn creators.

Free to sign up. 3-day trial on monthly plans. Cancel any time.

How it works

From store link to Instagram carousel in three steps.

  1. 1

    Paste the link

App Store, Google Play or your website. SlideBase pulls the name, description, icon and screenshots and works out who the app is for and what it fixes. No link yet? Type the name and a sentence.

  2. 2

Pick a hook, get the slides

It writes several first-slide hooks for your audience. Choose one and SlideBase writes the slide copy, the caption and up to five hashtags, then typesets the slides over text-free photos in your brand colours.

  3. 3

    Publish or schedule

Connect your Instagram Business or Creator account through Instagram's own login. Post the carousel now or pick a date and time. You can also download the JPEGs and post from your phone.

Most AI carousel generators ask you for a topic and give you a generic listicle in a template. That works if you are a LinkedIn creator posting about productivity. It does not work if you are a developer who needs a carousel post generator that already knows your app. SlideBase reads the listing instead of a prompt, so the first slide talks about your users' problem and the last slide shows your app, every time. The TikTok side of the same engine is on the AI TikTok slideshow generator page.

Ideas

Carousel ideas for apps that work on Instagram.

Say you built a habit tracker. These are the carousels SlideBase can write from that listing alone, and each one is a different angle on the same app, so you are not posting the same thing twice.

The problem, slide by slide

Slide 1 names the pain (“you quit every habit by day 9”), slides 2 to 5 explain why it happens, the last slide introduces the app as the fix. The classic value format.

Before and after

A week without the app versus a week with it. Works for anything with a visible result: calories, sleep, screen time, savings. Apps like Cal AI and Umax grew with this kind of post.

Feature deep-dive

One feature, one carousel. Your store listing already has the screenshots, so SlideBase turns a single screenshot into a six-slide walkthrough with a hook in front.

Myth and correction

“You need motivation to build habits” on slide 1, the correction across the middle slides, your app as the practical answer at the end. Good for saves and shares.

Review quote

Take a real line from a store review, put it on the first slide, and let the rest of the carousel show what the reviewer meant. Proof without inventing anything.

Mini guide for your niche

“5 things people who stick to habits do differently.” Useful on its own, with your app on the last slide as the shortcut. The format that gets followed, not just liked.

Need more angles? The TikTok hooks for apps library translates directly to first slides on Instagram, and the content ideas list has 45 more, none of which need a camera.

Compare

SlideBase vs generic AI carousel generators.

Tools like aiCarousels, PostNitro and the carousel makers inside Canva are built for creators who write about a topic. They are good at that. The gaps show up when the thing you are promoting is an app with a store page, screenshots and reviews that already contain the story.

The honest trade-off: generic tools have more templates and cover more topics. SlideBase only does one thing, carousels about your app, and does it from the listing so you never start from a blank prompt. If you run a faceless account for your app, the faceless app marketing page explains how that fits together.

Specs

Instagram carousel specs for apps.

Instagram is stricter than TikTok about what it accepts through the API, and getting a spec wrong means a rejected post or a cropped slide. These are the limits SlideBase works within when it generates an Instagram carousel for your app, and what they mean in practice.

SpecInstagramWhat SlideBase does
Slides per carousel2 to 10Generates 6 to 8 by default, caps at 10
Aspect ratio4:5 portrait to 1.91:1 landscape4:5 and 1:1; 9:16 TikTok decks re-typeset to 4:5, not cropped
Account type for API postingBusiness or CreatorConnects via Instagram login (OAuth), no password
PublishingPublish now or scheduleOne tap or date and time, per post; daily autopilot is TikTok-only for now
CaptionText plus hashtagsWritten with the post, up to five hashtags, editable
FormatStill imagesJPEG slides, also downloadable as a ZIP

Two practical notes. First, 4:5 is the size to default to: it takes the most screen height in the feed, and a carousel that fills the screen gets read. Square is fine for a grid that needs to look tidy. Second, keep your key words away from the bottom edge of each slide, where the caption and the slide dots overlap; SlideBase's templates leave that margin for you. If you want the carousel on both platforms, generate once and share twice: TikTok gets the 9:16 version and Instagram gets 4:5 from the same deck, and the TikTok slideshow scheduler covers the TikTok side, including daily posting.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What does an AI Instagram carousel generator actually do?
It turns a source (a topic, a text prompt, or in SlideBase's case your app's store listing) into a set of slide images with a caption, ready to post as an Instagram carousel. SlideBase goes one step further for apps: it reads the App Store or Google Play page, works out the audience and the problem the app solves, writes a hook and the slide text, lays the slides out in your brand colours and lets you publish or schedule through Instagram's official API.
Do I need a special Instagram account to post from SlideBase?
Yes. Instagram's publishing API only works with Business or Creator accounts, so a personal account cannot be connected. Switching is free and takes a minute in the Instagram app under Settings. You authorise SlideBase with Instagram's own login screen (OAuth); we never see your password and you can revoke access from Instagram at any time.
How many slides can an Instagram carousel have?
Instagram allows between 2 and 10 images in a carousel. SlideBase generates 6 to 8 slides by default, which fits comfortably, and stops at 10 for Instagram posts.
Which sizes does SlideBase support for Instagram?
4:5 portrait and 1:1 square, which are the two sizes Instagram shows at full height in the feed. If you generated a 9:16 TikTok deck first, SlideBase re-typesets it to 4:5 when you share to Instagram instead of cropping the slides.
Can SlideBase post to Instagram automatically every day?
Not yet. Daily automations (autopilot) run on TikTok only for now. On Instagram you publish each carousel with one tap or schedule it for a date and time you pick, one post at a time.
Is this a video or Reels generator?
No. SlideBase makes photo carousels, not videos or Reels. Carousels are the Instagram format you can produce every day without a camera, an editor or your face, and for apps they let you explain a problem and a fix across several slides that people swipe through.
Can I edit the slides before posting?
Yes. You can change the hook, rewrite any slide, swap the background photo or the style (Editorial, Real Photo, Flat Vector, Scrapbook Collage) and adjust the caption. Text edits re-typeset in a couple of seconds without spending credits. You can also download the slides as JPEGs or a ZIP and post by hand.
How much does it cost?
Plans start at $29 a month for 200 credits. Credits are spent per generated slide, so a 6-slide carousel costs around 6 credits, and unused credits roll over. Monthly plans come with a 3-day trial (card required) and you can cancel any time.
