Best TikTok Slideshow Makers for App Developers (2026)

SlideBase, ReelFarm, SlideStorm, Genviral, PostNitro, aiCarousels, Canva and TikTok's editor, judged on app installs. Every price checked Nov 2026.

The best TikTok slideshow maker for an app developer depends on one thing: how much of the post you want to write yourself. For posts generated from your store listing, SlideBase and ReelFarm are the two built around apps; for cheap volume across many accounts, SlideStorm; for an all-in-one editor and scheduler, Genviral; for design-heavy carousels that also go to LinkedIn, PostNitro or aiCarousels; and for full manual control at no cost, Canva or TikTok’s own photo editor. Below is how each one did against criteria that matter for getting app installs, with every price checked on the vendor’s own site in November 2026.

Disclosure: we make SlideBase, which is on this list. We have tried to say where other tools are better, because they often are.

What an app developer needs from a slideshow tool

Generic “best AI carousel” lists rank tools by template count. That is the wrong axis if your goal is installs. These are the five things we checked:

  1. App awareness. Can it use your App Store or Google Play listing, screenshots and real features, or do you explain the app from scratch every time?
  2. Hook quality. Does it write a first slide aimed at your audience’s problem, or a generic title?
  3. An app slide. Does the last slide show the app with a reason to search for it?
  4. Posting. Can it publish or schedule to TikTok (and Instagram) through official APIs, ideally with a draft option so you can add a trending sound?
  5. Real cost per month at one to three posts a day.

If you are new to the format itself, our TikTok slideshow strategy for apps explains why photo posts work, and how to make a TikTok slideshow covers the mechanics.

1. SlideBase: best for posts written from your store listing

You paste an App Store, Google Play or website link (or type a name and description if the app is not listed). SlideBase reads the public listing, writes a 6 to 8 slide post with the hook on slide 1, the problem and payoff in the middle and your app on the last slide, writes the caption and five hashtags, and lays it out in your brand colours. You can edit anything, download JPEGs or a ZIP, or schedule to TikTok and Instagram through their official APIs. TikTok posts can publish directly or go to your drafts so you can add a sound.

Pricing: Starter $29/mo (200 credits), Pro $49, Ultra $99. Credits are spent per slide, so Starter covers about 33 six-slide posts. 3-day trial on Pro and Ultra only, card required. See plans.

Weak spots: fewer posts per dollar than SlideStorm or ReelFarm at high volume; only TikTok and Instagram; no video at all; no free tier.

SlideBase sample slide for a golf app: headline Your best round usually starts when you stop caring about your score, golfer swinging under blue sky

2. ReelFarm: best for app slideshows at a flat per-post price

“ReelFarm alternatives” is a common search, so it deserves a fair entry. ReelFarm makes TikTok slideshows and Instagram carousels and is explicit that iOS apps and e-commerce “do best”. Its feature list includes copying any TikTok or Instagram post as a starting format, auto-sourced images from Pinterest and Google, and promoting apps with real App Store screenshots. It also has an MCP connector so you can drive it from an AI agent.

Pricing (reel.farm/pricing, November 2026): Growth $49/mo for 100 slideshows, Scale $95/mo for 250, Enterprise $195/mo for 750. Each slideshow counts once however many slides it has, edits are free, unused slideshows do not roll over, and there is no free trial. Older reviews mention a $19 tier; it is not on the current pricing page.

Where it beats SlideBase: 100 slideshows for $49 is more posts per dollar than our Pro plan, and the “copy a post that already went viral” workflow is strong if you know which formats you want. Where SlideBase differs: we start from your listing link and write the angle for you, include a 3-day trial on Pro and Ultra, roll unused credits over, and post through official TikTok and Instagram APIs. ReelFarm’s pricing page did not say whether it posts or schedules for you, so check that before buying if it matters.

3. SlideStorm: best for volume across many TikTok accounts

SlideStorm is a prompt-based AI slideshow generator that lists “getting downloads for your app” as a use case. It can create up to 10 slideshows from one prompt and supports 5, 25 or 100 TikTok accounts depending on plan.

Pricing (slidestorm.ai, November 2026): Starter $19/mo (300 credits, 5 accounts), Pro $49 (900 credits, 25 accounts), Premium $99 (2,100 credits, 100 accounts). A slideshow costs 1 credit, an AI image 3, library images are free. One-time credit packs never expire, and the editor is free to try.

Weak spots for apps: no App Store link input mentioned, and Instagram support was not confirmed on its site. Full breakdown in SlideBase vs SlideStorm.

4. Genviral: best all-in-one editor and scheduler

Genviral combines a slideshow and video editor, AI generation and scheduling, and says mobile app developers and studios use it. It posts to TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Facebook, X and more, and offers hosted phone accounts as a paid add-on.

Pricing (genviral.io/pricing, November 2026): Creator $29/mo (200 credits, 5 accounts), Professional $49 (500 credits, 10 accounts), Business $99 (1,200 credits, 30 accounts), Scale $199 (3,000 credits, 100 accounts). Posting does not use credits; credits do not roll over. No free trial, but sign-up is free without a card.

Good fit if you want video and slideshows in one place and post to many networks. Its site mentions an App Store screenshot format but did not say it reads an App Store link as input.

5. PostNitro: best for branded carousels beyond TikTok

PostNitro is a carousel designer with scheduling to LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Threads, Facebook and Pinterest on its higher plans.

Pricing (postnitro.ai/pricing, November 2026): Free (up to 5 AI slides per carousel, 5 downloads a month, watermark), Starter $15/mo (no scheduling), Creator+ $30/mo list with scheduling for up to 10 accounts, Team+ $60/mo list. A Black Friday discount ($24.99 and $49.98) runs until November 30. 3-day trial on paid plans.

For app developers: excellent if you also do LinkedIn. You still write the angle and design the app slide yourself. We compare it in detail in PostNitro alternative for app developers.

6. aiCarousels: best budget option, LinkedIn-first

aiCarousels has 19 AI “ghostwriters” and 304 layouts, posts directly to LinkedIn, and can export video for Reels, TikTok and Shorts.

Pricing (aicarousels.com/pricing, November 2026): a free try of one carousel without download, Pro $15/mo or $120/yr (60 AI carousels a month), Team $59/mo for five seats, and a $99 one-time Pro Lifetime where you bring your own OpenAI key. Scheduling is not mentioned on the pricing page.

For app developers: very cheap, but built around thought-leadership posts, not app promotion.

SlideBase sample payoff slide: croissant and latte versus chicken, potatoes and veggies, both 500 kcal, headline Not all calories are the same
A payoff slide from a SlideBase deck for a food-tracking app: a visual comparison that is useful on its own and sets up why the app exists.

7. Canva: best for full manual control

Canva has a free plan and thousands of templates. You write every word and place every image. For a developer with design taste and time, it produces exactly what you want. Its paid Pro price could not be confirmed on canva.com during our November 2026 check (the page blocked our request, and third-party listings disagree), so check it yourself. The real cost is time: a good 7-slide post takes 20 to 40 minutes by hand.

8. TikTok’s built-in photo editor: best for your first ten posts

Free, already on your phone, and it lets you add trending sounds directly. Write ten posts by hand before buying anything. You will learn what a first slide needs to do, and you will be a much better judge of any tool afterwards. Our list of slideshow hook formulas for apps is a good starting point for those ten.

Not on the list: DIY pipelines

Some developers wire up an AI agent, an image model and a scheduler like Postiz or Blotato. It can be cheaper at very high volume and gives total control, at the cost of setup and maintenance. We cover both in SlideBase vs Postiz and the n8n carousel workflow comparison. If you mainly need analytics on what is already working, see Shortimize vs SlideBase.

How to pick in one sentence each

  • One or a few apps, want posts written from your listing, TikTok + Instagram: SlideBase.
  • Know the viral formats you want to copy, want a flat per-post price: ReelFarm.
  • Running 10+ TikTok accounts on prompts: SlideStorm.
  • Want video and slideshows and many networks in one tool: Genviral.
  • Also posting carousels on LinkedIn: PostNitro or aiCarousels.
  • Want to learn the format first: TikTok’s editor or Canva.

Whatever you pick, the tool matters less than posting every day for a month and watching which first slides hold attention. Our guide to promoting an app on TikTok covers the cadence, and the AI TikTok slideshow generator page shows what SlideBase produces from a link. If that is the approach you want, start here.

FAQ

What is the best AI tool for a TikTok slideshow?

For app marketing specifically, the tools built around apps are SlideBase (generates the post from your App Store or Google Play link) and ReelFarm (app slideshows with real App Store screenshots). For volume across many accounts, SlideStorm is cheaper per slideshow. For general creators, Genviral and PostNitro are broader.

What are good ReelFarm alternatives?

SlideBase if you want posts written from your store listing with a trial on Pro and Ultra; SlideStorm if you want the lowest cost per slideshow; Genviral if you want video plus slideshows and many networks. ReelFarm currently starts at $49/mo for 100 slideshows with no free trial, checked November 2026.

Is there a free TikTok slideshow maker?

Yes. TikTok’s own photo editor and Canva’s free plan both work. PostNitro has a free plan with a watermark and limits, SlideStorm lets you try its editor free, and Genviral allows free sign-up without a card. AI writing and scheduling are paid on all of them.

How many slides should an app slideshow have?

Six to eight is a good default: a hook, three to five slides of problem and payoff, and one app slide at the end. Fewer slides can work for simple formats; more than ten usually loses viewers before the app appears.

Do any of these tools guarantee downloads?

No, and be wary of any that claim to. They reduce the time per post. Downloads come from finding an angle your audience responds to, which takes consistent posting and testing.

Your app's first post is three minutes away.

Paste your App Store link. SlideBase reads the listing, writes the hook and lays out the slides. You decide whether it goes live.
